Join us for a fascinating evening full of tales about the passenger ship Anna Salen, collected by project researcher Amanda Lovitt.
Close to 10,000 people travelled to Australia on the “ANNA SALEN”. Some of these passengers settled in Collie in the early 1950’s, and families still have descendants living in the town today. Come and discover more about the journey that many of these families endured on the “ANNA SALEN”. Hear about passengers’ stories and learn tips on researching your family’s own story!

Classic country markets in the Old Railway Goods Shed building. The building was designed by CY O’Connor and built in 1898.
It was restored between 1997 and 1999 by the Collie Heritage Group Inc.
Today it houses fortnightly markets selling, handmade items, jewellery, second hand books, bric a brac, fresh produce, sheep poo, gemstones and crystals, plants, wooden toys, jams and pickles, eggs, clothing, sausage sizzle and more.

Located 200km south east of Perth, Collie Motorplex is a beloved track and a state racing circuit in WA. This 2.55km track is full of tight turns and a challenging layout that any motorbike rider will enjoy.
Get off the streets and take your bike to the track with Champion’s Ride Days.
Ride days are not race days and are not competitive; they are a place where you can test the limits of your bike away from speed camera’s, trucks, cars and pedestrians. It is a great opportunity to challenge your riding skills in a supportive learning environment that’s also fun. All you need is a motorbike licence! You can use your own bike and leathers, or hire ours.
