The All Saints’ Anglican Church of Collie is opening up for the public to view on Saturdays between 10am-1pm. |
If you didn’t know, the Anglican Church is home to an amazing mural painted by Philip Goatcher in 1922. The colourful mural depicts thirty individuals and is said to be the most outstanding of Mr Goatcher’s work. The Church also houses a very unique wood pipe organ, stunning memorial stained glass windows and a memorial rose garden. |
But that isn’t all that’s worth checking out. The Byzantine and Romanesque style Church was built in 1915 and was built using nine different types of brick with an extensive use of timbers for it’s interior. This Church is surely a stunning piece of architecture to marvel at.
