Regional Development Australia (RDA) is an Australian Government initiative that brings together all levels of government to enhance the development of Australia’s regions. A national network of RDA committees has been established to achieve this objective.
In Western Australia, the RDAs generally mirror the State Government Development Commissions, although Mid West and Gascoyne are combined under a single RDA and the RDA network covers Perth and the Indian Ocean Territories while the Development Commissions do not.
RDA-SW aligns perfectly with the South West Development Commission and the 12 local governments that comprise the three sub-regions.
RDA-SW and SWDC work co-operatively, sharing common goals, the SW Blueprint and pursuing mutually-agreed regional priorities.
