Lennard 4WD Track, Sailors Gully and The Jump Up’s

Lennard 4WD Track, Sailors Gully and The Jump Up’s are part of a 4WD circuit located within the Wellington National Park. The track starts off fairly tame, then the challenge increases as you progress. These tracks are day use tracks only, with no overnight camping permitted and are closed seasonally to avoid erosion problems in the winter. The track is best explored during the summer months when the ground is dry and hard.

The Lennard Track trail head can be found in the Wellington National Park just past the Honeymoon Pool campgrounds and across the bridge or alternatively you can find it at the end of Lennard Drive. You will come across a white gate and a sign that says Lennard Track Day Use Only. If the gate is closed, this means it is not open to explore.

The track is classed as easy for experienced four-wheel drivers, not so easy for the inexperienced. A few sections of the track can be steep, rutted, rocky and slippery. The last section of the Lennard 4WD track is a steep hill climb and would be nearly impossible in wet weather.

Expect to see some breathtaking scenery of the Collie River, granite out crops and large jarrah trees. The track takes about 3 hours to complete, but with so many beautiful spots to stop for a swim or picnic along the river, you may want to add a few more hours onto your journey.

Enjoy and as always follow good 4×4 etiquette and safety guidelines.

  • Stick to the track
  • Preserve the track
  • Avoid damaging Flora and Fauna
  • Leave the area as you found it (please take all rubbish with you)
  • Wash your vehicle, paying attention to underneath to avoid spreading dieback and weed seeds

A map of Lennard Track can be picked up from the Collie Visitor Centre.
