Bibbulmun Track

This world famous walking track, stretching 1000km from Kalamunda to Albany meanders through the scenic Shire of Collie.

The track is a dedicated walking track and campsites and huts can be found along the way. The Track is marked with yellow triangular markers symbolising the Waugal- the rainbow serpent of the Aboriginal Dreamtime.

You can choose to make it a wilderness experience by camping out, or you can join a guided group, a tour, or do it in comfort and finish your day in Collie, one of the proud Track Towns aligned with the Bibbulmun Track Foundation. There are some fantastic shorter walks on the Bibbulmun Track near Collie using the connected spur trails, as well as some longer adventures north or south to the nearest huts.

The Collie Visitor Centre can also provide a break down of Bibbulmun Track day walk sections, including the Wellington National Park spur trail. These track breakdowns will give you estimated times, distances, start and end points of parts of the Bibbulmun Track surrounding the Collie area, allowing you to do short walks.

  • Griffin Bridge to Mungalup Dam (3km one way)
  • Wellington Dam Spur Trail to Lyall’s Mill Campsite (15.6km one way)
  • Westralia Park Loop (10km loop)
  • Mumballup to Noggerup Campsite (7.8km one way)
