Centenary of the Philip Goatcher Mural @ All Saints Anglican Parish of Collie

You are invited to a special Eucharist of Blessing to celebrate the centenary of the beautiful Philip Goatcher mural within the All Saints Anglican Parish of Collie.

The mural was painted in 1922-23. The design of the mural was influenced by Mrs Noyes who requested the inclusion of figures of coalminers and First Nation Peoples. The mural was painted on canvas in Goatcher’s studio in Perth and then brought to Collie and fixed to the wall of the sanctuary. It was consecrated by the then Bishop, Dr C Wilson on 24 June, 1923.

The celebrations will commence at 9.00am and will be followed by a special morning tea to be held at the Collie CWA rooms.
