Poisons Information Centre

If the victim has collapsed or has stopped breathing, do not delay, phone 000 for an ambulance.

Call the poisons help line if you, your child, a friend or a family member come in contact with a poison.

Call the Poisons Information Centre for the most up-to-date advice.  Management advice is frequently updated.

The WAPIC also provides limited advice in cases of poisoned pets.

If you have trouble speaking English phone 13 14 50 and the interpreter service will phone the poisons centre for you.

Specialists in Poisons Information answer your calls. They are highly trained specialists with backgrounds in pharmacy, bio-medical science and nursing. In most cases problems can be managed at home without the need to attend a hospital emergency department or your local GP.

Clinical toxicologists are available to provide specialist advice to medical professionals in cases of serious poisoning.
