Across the river from the Soldiers Memorial Park forming part of the Collie River Walk, are various Australian native trees planted in 1922-1929, which are floodlit at night.
A WA karri is at the eastern entrance to the river walk.
Expect to see a variety of native trees such as; WA Karri, a Bishop Pine, Yellow Box, Corsican Pine, Swamp Mahogany, Brush Box, Monterey Cypress, Spotted Gum, Sydney Blue Gum, Grey Iron Bark, Ribbon Gum, Bangalay and Monterey Pine.
