Wellington National Park is a nature lover’s dream. Choose between activities like hiking, mountain biking, swimming and exploring its iconic spots.

With its sweeping views of the Collie River and the stunning greenery of the forest, the park offers a myriad of hiking trails suited to a range of skills.

For those who prefer a more leisurely activity, a picnic at Potters Gorge is a great option, where you can relax by the water’s edge, surrounded by tall trees and lush foliage.

November also marks the tail end of the wildflower season, and the park is home to a rich variety of native blooms, including orchids, kangaroo paw, and the ever-popular banksias. It’s the perfect time for a scenic stroll or a photoshoot of the spectacular native wildflowers to be found in Collie.

From the serene and winding Collie River to the man-made Black Diamond Lake, the many water attractions in Collie offers a variety of water activities for those looking to cool off in the sunny weather.

Lake Kepwari

Spend the day swimming, canoeing or fishing at Lake Kepwari. This man-made lake is one of the only places in the South West where you can launch your waterski off for a day of flying across the water.

Make a weekend of it and camp at the campgrounds at Lake Kepwari, where you can enjoy picnics or BBQ for the family in the shelters provided.

Stockton Lake

Known for its stunning clear waters, Stockton Lake is one of Collie’s best-kept secrets. Formerly an open-cut mine, Stockton Lake is a great spot for swimming and boating.

The lake’s striking blue waters contrast beautifully with the surrounding forest, offering plenty of opportunities for those seeking a relaxing day. Did we mention Stockton Lake is pet-friendly?

Honeymoon Pool

Honeymoon Pool in Wellington National Park is one of the most popular swimming and camping destinations in Western Australia, frequently ranked among Australia’s top spots.

If you’re looking for an idyllic retreat, the campgrounds at Honeymoon Pool features twenty shaded campsites set among the graceful weeping peppermint trees along the Collie River.
