Day 1: Escape the Daily Grind

Afternoon

1pm – Hit the Road

Clock off early, pack your overnight bag, and cue the road trip playlist. The two-hour drive from Perth to Collie is the perfect chance to catch up on gossip and laugh till your cheeks hurt. Treat yourselves to a quick pitstop at Miami Bakehouse in Myalup or the Pinjarra Bakery (depending on your choice of route) for a sweet bite before rolling into town.

3.30pm – Check In and Chill

Pull up at Black Diamond Lodge, your home for the weekend. Share a twin or triple room for those late-night chats, or stretch out in your own air-conditioned haven.

3.30pm – Spa Time and Firelight Feasts

Ease into the weekend with a soothing massage or facial at ReDefine Skin Clinic and Day Spa.

Then, settle in by the Black Diamond Lodge firepit (please check with the venue beforehand) with a local wine and a pre-booked savoury and dessert platters from Tailored Grazing.

Toast to friendship, laughter, and well-earned downtime.

Day 2: Up and At 'Em

Morning

6:30am – Sunrise and Coffee

Start the day with a coffee and croissant from The Wagon, then set off for a scenic 45-minute drive to Bunbury.

8am – Dance with Dolphins

Hop aboard a cruise at the Dolphin Discovery Centre and dive into an unforgettable experience, swimming alongside wild dolphins in Koombana Bay (seasonal, November to April).

12pm – Scenic Sips and Sights

On your way back to Collie, stop at Wellington National Park to see the world’s biggest dam mural.

Then, sit back under the trees at the Kiosk at the Dam with a cider and a hearty lunch surrounded by forest views.

If a winery is more your thing, then head back to Collie to Harris River Estate for a glass of local wine.

Sleep in and then head to the beautifully restored Colliefields Hotel for a big country breakfast in a heritage setting.

10am – Mural Trail and Markets

Stretch your legs on the Collie Mural Trail, featuring over 40 artworks that tell local stories.

1pm – Lunch and Goodbyes

Grab a relaxed bite at Tosca’s Boutique and Espresso near Central Park, where you can soak up the laid-back vibe before heading home.

Take the scenic route home through the forest via Mornington Road, and make one final stop at Harvey Cheese for a few gourmet goodies to keep those Collie memories (and flavours) going a little longer.
