Conveniently located just 350 metres from the Collie CBD, the Visitor Centre is easy to access with ample parking, including long bays for vehicles towing caravans or trailers. There are also two ACROD bays, a picnic area with tables and seating, and plenty of space to stretch your legs.

What You'll Find Inside

The Visitor Centre is modern, accessible, and well-equipped with everything you need to make your stay smooth and memorable. Facilities include:

  • Public toilets and a hot shower – great after a day on the trails
  • Wheelchair accessible amenities, entrances and pathways
  • A comfortable seating area to browse brochures or just relax
  • Access to the Underground Replica Mine – wheelchair friendly and a fun insight into Collie’s coal mining past
  • A display of Collie’s historic steam trains

  • Connect with free WiFi
  • Use the free dump point for caravans and RVs
  • Access potable water for a small donation (plus a $10 refundable key deposit)
  • Pick up the Collie Visitor Guide & Map, Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi Trail maps
  • Get the latest on accommodation, attractions, dining and trail conditions
  • Make tour, rail and coach bookings (including TransWA services)
  • Shop our great range of souvenirs, Collie-branded merchandise and locally made crafts
  • Register your details and check in on the Bibbulmun Track or Munda Biddi Trail noticeboard
  • Leave your gear. We offer complimentary storage of packs and parcels for trail users

Free WiFi is available exclusively at the Collie Visitor Centre, located just a short walk from the town centre. Drop in, connect, and make the most of your visit with local tips, maps and expert advice from our friendly team while you’re online.

Dump Points

Travelling with your caravan or RV? We’ve got two convenient dump points in town to keep things clean and easy:

  • Collie Visitor Centre Car Park – 156 Throssell Street
  • Eddie Woods Memorial Park – 39 Throssell Street

Both sites are free to use and easily accessible for large vehicles.

Long Vehicle and Caravan Parking

Travelling with a caravan, camper trailer or motorhome? Collie is very caravan-friendly and makes it easy with several convenient long vehicle parking spots close to key attractions, shops and facilities.

You’ll find dedicated long vehicle parking at:

  • Collie Visitor Centre (Throssell Street) – Right next to the Centre, this spot is perfect for quick stops to grab maps, ask for local advice, or stock up on brochures and souvenirs.
  • PCYC Car Park – Located off Forrest Street, this large car park has ample space for caravans and long vehicles. Just a short walk to the town centre.
  • Between KFC and Ampol (Throssell Street) – A long bay area designed for easy access and parking. Ideal for grabbing a bite or taking a quick break.
  • Eddie Woods Memorial Park – Opposite the Federal Hotel and Sizzles Deli, this location offers one long bay park, next to toilets and shaded picnic tables.

All parking areas are free, and most are within walking distance to local shops, cafés and key visitor attractions. If you’re unsure where to go, just pop into the Visitor Centre – we’re always happy to help.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible public toilets are available throughout the town, including at:

  • Central Park
  • Soldiers Park
  • Collie Visitor Centre
  • Eddie Woods Memorial Park
  • Lions Park
  • Tom Lowry Oval (Allanson)

All locations are wheelchair accessible and close to parking, making them convenient for everyone.

Public Showers

Need to freshen up after a ride, or hike? You’ll find public showers at three handy locations:

  • Collie Visitor Centre – $5 per person

  • Eddie Woods Memorial Park – $8 per person

  • Central Park – Free

Perfect for trail users or anyone wanting to feel recharged before their next stop.

Weather and Climate

Collie enjoys four distinct seasons, making it a great year-round destination. Summers (Dec–Feb) are warm and dry – ideal for water play at Lake Kepwari or Stockton Lake. Autumn and spring bring mild temperatures and colourful scenery, perfect for hiking or biking the Wambenger Trails. Winter is cooler, with crisp mornings and cosy evenings – a great time to discover our vibrant art trail or tuck into hearty local eats.
