MEDIA RELEASE
New Collie River Valley website showcases the best of the region
Visitors and locals alike can now discover the very best of the Collie region through the newly launched Collie River Valley website, a modern, user-friendly platform designed to inspire exploration and make trip planning easier than ever before.
Developed by the Collie Visitor Centre, with support from the WA Government through Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and South32 Worsley Alumina, the new website provides an engaging and informative digital experience that reflects the region’s unique character and natural attractions.
The website has been purpose-built to deliver an immersive regional experience, aligning with the Visitor Centre’s goal of promoting Collie as a vibrant and welcoming destination. It features detailed information on trails, local attractions, places to stay, where to eat and drink, and upcoming events, all in one easy-to-navigate space.
Collie Visitor Centre Manager, Kerrin Michalak said the website plays an important role in helping visitors and locals make the most of their time in the region.
“We’re thrilled to see the new Collie website come to life. It’s designed to reflect the energy and diversity of our region, from outdoor adventure and family fun to local art, heritage, and community events,” Kerrin said. “This new platform will help visitors plan their stay and encourage them to explore more of what Collie has to offer.”
The project was delivered with funding support from the WA Government, DPIRD program and South32 Worsley Alumina, with the Shire of Collie Tourism & Marketing Coordinator playing a key role behind the scenes, providing time and expertise for project management, coordination with the developer, and content oversight. The website was also supported with guidance from the South West Development Commission and the Project Control Group, with website development by EUSO Digital.
South32 Worsley Alumina also welcomed the opportunity to support the project.
“South32 Worsley Alumina is proud to support local initiatives in Collie, including contributing to the development of the Visitor Centre’s new website,” a South32 spokesperson said. “The platform will make information easier to find and help drive long-term tourism to the region.”
Visitors and locals can explore the new website now at www.collierivervalley.com.au.
