The King Jarrah Tree is a majestic and ancient tree located in Wellington National Park, near Collie, Western Australia. This towering jarrah tree stands approximately 36 metres tall and is estimated to be between 300 and 500 years old

  • Boardwalk & Viewing Platform: A timber boardwalk and raised viewing platform provide safe access to the tree, allowing visitors to admire its grandeur up close.
  • Survival Against the Elements: The King Jarrah has withstood bushfires, storms, lightning, and insect attacks over the centuries, making it a testament to resilience in nature.
  • Surrounding Flora: The area around the King Jarrah is rich in biodiversity, with mature stands of yarri, jarrah, and marri trees supporting an abundance of small birds and mammals
  • The King Jarrah Tree is situated along King Tree Road, south of Wellington Dam. The access road is unsealed, and visitors should exercise caution when driving. A gravel parking area is available near the tree, and the boardwalk leads directly to the viewing platform.

The King Jarrah tree is very handily located next to the parking area (unsealed roads), and there is a lovely 600m trail walk loop through the bush surrounding the King Jarrah tree. Well worth it to view the tree and surrounding nature area.Tripadvisor
