The Come and Try Day at Collie Motorplex is perfect for anyone curious about motorsport or eager to see what their car can do outside of everyday roads. Open to beginners and enthusiasts alike, this relaxed day on the short track is all about giving it a go, learning the ropes, and having plenty of fun along the way. No competition, no pressure, just pure enjoyment in a controlled and supportive setting.
Highlights
- Have a Go – drive your own car on the Collie Motorplex short circuit in a safe, supervised environment.
- Beginner Friendly – the day is designed especially for newcomers with plenty of guidance available.
- Learn the Basics – discover track etiquette, safety tips, and what motorsport is all about.
- Supportive Community – meet other like-minded people who are passionate about cars and motorsport.
- Spectators Welcome – not ready to get behind the wheel? Come along, watch the action, and soak up the trackside atmosphere.
What to Expect
- $100.00 per Driver
- 8.00am – Gates Open
- 8.30am to 9.30am – Driver Registration
- 9.30am – Instructors Briefing
- 9.45am – Drivers Briefing, Overview of day etc, Q & A
- 10.00am – Instructor drives car with participant as passenger (3 laps) then participant drives car with instructor as passenger (3 laps), participant is then on their own if confident
- 12.00noon – Lunch Break
- 12.30pm – 2 x Sessions on your own if confident (can request instructor assistance)
- 2.00pm – Finish
